Purchasing anything online can be frightening due to the amount of fraud that happens on a daily basis. Many fake and illegal websites are trying to steal your personal and financial information, and these sites can even be found in the collectible toy universe.

Toys Wonderland is a legitimate online company based in Hong Kong that sells collectibles from movies, pop culture, TV, and comic books. They are associated with a YouTube influencer named Justin’s collection and Terrence Tee. This company should not be mistaken for the illegitimate company Toy Wonderland with a similar name and different URL address.

Let’s take a look at Toys Wonderland in detail and comb through their history, reviews, and controversy surrounding them to answer if they indeed are legitimate or not definitively.

Who is Toys Wonderland

Toys Wonderland is an online-based company situated in Hong Kong. Their head office address is; Factory Unit on 12th Floor of LMK Development Estate, Nos.10/16 Kwai Ting Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories.

They do also have an Instagram and Facebook page. You can contact their customer service via email at; CS@toyswonderland.com.

This company is said to provide (sell) action figures, statues, movie replicas, life-size figurines, and collectibles to toy collector enthusiasts. They also claim to be a licensed distributor of several world-renowned toy brands. The collectibles that they offer are based on everyone’s favorite characters from popular culture, movies, comic books, and television.

They are also closely associated and said to be partners with YouTube toy collector influencers such as Justin’s Collection and Terence Tee (the world’s most famous Iron Man collector). Justin from Justin’s collection is one of the largest collectors of collectibles that we know about due to YouTube, and the same is for Terence Tee (His Iron Man collectibles are said to be valued at over $60 000).

Justin even sites their store in the description of his videos so you can purchase collectibles from them. They have an online website store, and then they also have an eBay store. For all intents and purposes, they do seem like a legitimate company with users on Reddit even claiming to have purchased collectibles from them.

One thing t note about Toys wonderland is that they work a little differently from other online stores and require you to put down a deposit, which is the pre-order price for certain collectibles. Many people assume this is the price, however it is not, and the rest is due at the time of shipment. Due to this confusion, some people think that this site is a scam; however, it is not.

Customer reviews

If you take a look at their customer review section, you will notice that currently, they have over 1200 reviews giving them as a company and their service a 5-star review. The reviewers claim that the site and service are top-notch and of high quality and standard.

Toys Wonderland controversy

Even though Toys Wonderland is a legitimate company, it came to light on the 5th of June 2020 that another company partnered with Toys Wonderland called Maxnut Studio is separating ties. Maxnut is a company that specializes in the creating of lifelike head sculptures for collectibles from movies, television, and pop culture.

They claim that Toys Wonderland has been releasing bootleg copies of their head sculpts. Further investigation found that Justin from Justin’s collection said he had no knowledge of the companies’ business practices and was just an independent reviewer.  No further evidence has come to light on this matter, however.

Toy Wonderland mistaken identity

If enthusiasts are new to the world of sought-after high-end collectibles, another company is the same as Toys Wonderland in terms of their services, and they even have a similar name called “Toy Wonderland.” (no S). If you do not know the difference, you will be in for a load of trouble because this company is a phising website (they try and steal your private information) and are definaetly a scam website. This website has the URL of toywonderland.gq and should not be mistaken for the toyswonderland.com website. Furthermore, they should not be mistaken that they are affiliated in any way.

If you proceed to the URL of Toy Wonderland, your browser will even notify you that you are entering a website that has been known to conduct phishing activity, and you should proceed at your own risk.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we find that Toys Wonderland, the online Hong Kong-based company, is indeed a real company that sells authentic collectibles, action figures, statues, etc. They are still associated with the YouTube influencer Justin from Justin’s collection and Terence Tee (the largest Iron Man collectibles collector globally), and the controversy with Maxnut seems to have faded away.

However, do take note that another toy company with a similar name called Toy Wonderland is not a legitimate site and should be avoided at all costs.
